Hike For Hope — Sunday, September 30, 2018

I can’t wait for the #hikeforhope party! They have setup a wonderful event with something for everyone to enjoy. I’m excited to be doing live paintings on site to commemorate this beautiful day of celebrating recovery, remembering loved ones who lost the battle to addiction and finding hope in community and resources.

I have seen this issue in the news. I have seen the efforts of the governor trying to address the opiod crisis. I have seen people in my life struggle with alcohol addiction and other things and I am happy to be a part of this. Kudos to them for choosing a location that allows even the not-so-extreme-hikers a chance to participate. Sugarloaf’s white trail is just a short jaunt up to the summit that anyone can enjoy but there is also have a longer route for those who want a challenge!

Don’t hike at all? That’s ok too! Come out for the picnic/pre-party and enjoy yourself, donate a few bucks to Nathan’s Ridge Structured Sober Living, eat some food, have some fun and hit the road instead of the trails
